St. Patrick’s 4-6 Roche 3-6

The U13 girls were unlucky to lose their first grading game of the year against St. Patrick’s at Páirc Eamoin on Sunday morning.

Having led for the majority of the contest, goal concessions during the closing quarter ultimately cost the girls in blue victory.

Roche were 3-4 to 2-1 in front at half-time, but second half points by Caoimhe Dunne and Niamh Norton was all they could muster after the interval as the Lordship side took control.

In what was some of the girls’ first experience of playing on a full-size pitch, it was a very strong effort and will stand the players in good stead moving into this Sunday’s clash with St. Joseph’s.

Roche: Courtney McNamee, Aoibheann Reilly, Chloe Duffy, Cara McCourt, Nicole Murray, Evanna Corcoran, Niamh Norton (0-2), Sophie Corcoran, Aimee McKee, Emer Douglas, Zoe Treacy (1-2), Suranne Robinson, Caoimhe Dunne (2-2), Sophie McKay, Tegan Nash, Alannah Marmion, Faye Kirk, Chloe Dunne, Naoise Marmion

Referee: Brian Brady (Kilkerley Emmets)
