St. Patrick’s vs Roche Emmets

The U11 boys edged a titanic struggle against St. Patrick’s in Lordship on Saturday afternoon, battling to the end to emerge on the right side of the result.

Having conceded three first half goals, the boys in blue were up against it, going to the interval trailing by a point. However, they showed admirable spirit to never give in and got their reward at the finish.

Their passing, movement and general play was of the highest standard at times. Indeed, the display underlined the importance of continuing to play the right way regardless of the scoreline.

Peter McArdle, Zachary Connolly, Conall Whyte, Ferdia McEvoy, Rory Sheridan and James Curtis, to name but a few, were involved in some stunning passages of play, with Gerry Kirk, Conor Douglas, Aaron Duffy and JJ McArdle working ever so hard to retrieve possession when it was lost.

Harry Treacy, Hayden Keenan, Eoin Kilkenny and Lorcan McArdle each looked comfortable when on the ball, picking out the best pass at the ideal time.
