Baile Talún 4-6 Roche Emmets 1-13

Two goals in the closing minutes saw Baile Talún overcome our desperately unlucky U15 boys in Mountrush on Monday night.

Having “played out of their skins”, Emmets led by four points entering the closing stages before being hit by two sucker punch majors.

Roche trailed 2-3 to 0-7 at the interval, but, helped by Seán Conlon’s second half goal, took the lead and looked certain for an unexpected victory until disaster struck.

Nonetheless, every player gave their utmost with Andrew McArdle and midfielders Josh McGuinness and James Corcoran again putting in really impressive displays.
